Well Younes, I have seen a video of the Eee running WoW. It wasn’t perfect quality, but it worked. I would imagen this HP is similar.

Can anyone tell me, how “bad” is the Via processor really? and the graphic card?

A comparison would be great, so for example, The Via 1,6 Ghz is as fast as a 1000 Mhz Pentium

And about the graphic card, it is so much better or less good than the EEE graphic card

This looks pretty exciting. A small laptop with portable written all over it is what I need. It clearly isn’t as powerful as bigger laptops, but it will do laps around that ancient Compaq I have sitting in my room. I am sure a few months after release they will have better configuration options and cheaper prices for it. If jkOTR gets it, could you guys please make comparisons on how well it runs Vista and XP?

i know alot of OQO 02 owners have reported being satisfied with Via performance but i think thats a combination of low expectations (anything was better than Transmeta) & it couldnt run Aero by default like Intel units had to (which has a huge impact on performance).

personally i am fine with both Via & A1xx performance with Vista doing basic tasks (and if Aero is turned off on Intel). but like most i would prefer XP on them.

Ry, good suggestion. I’d love to have a spot above the fold with the top headlines of the day, but at the moment that would be a manual process. I’ll keep kicking thoughts around…

It looks like my old Powerbook 12″, that I miss very much, especially the keyboard and metal housing. Let’s see some reviews and how it performs for Office 2007, my reason for not having the Powerbook anymore.

It’s 5″ thick, but less than .2″ at its thinnest point. :-)

I was hoping for the Isaiah processor as well. It’s pin compatible with the C7, so I’m hoping that HP will drop it in when it’s available.

Also, HP regularly discounts their machines, so I’d expect the $549 to be under $500 in practice.

Like others, I’m most concerned about CPU. I wish HP releases a touchscreen model with a swivel screen.
