MontaVista, TI, Samsung, Marvell teaming for Linux UMPC
Looks like some major companies have recognized that Nokia might be on to something with their Internet Tablets. Mozilla, Texas Instruments, and Marvell Technologies are all in cahoots to develop a UMPC running on Linux expected in 2009. Also involved is MontaVista, the folks behind Mobilinux. Early plans indicated a Debian-based distro, Mozilla browser and heavy emphasis on using Web-based applications.
