Mobile Tech Minutes: GooSync
This week I discovered two things when I brought the HTC Advantage back into the rotation: I had no calendar nor contacts having canceled my Exchange Server and I needed a way to sync the Advantage with my Google Apps stuff. Enter GooSync, a free (with paid extras) online solution that syncs phones with the Google cloud.

I’ve been using GooSync on my BlackJack II for about 6 months and it works flawlessly.

I have been using this program in the free forum for a while for both my HTC Tilt and my Advantage. I just use the HTC Touch Pro profile.
James, what 6.1 flash are you using for your X7501? are you using a cooked ROM or a official release? I’m still on 6.0…but I would like to get it up to 6.1.
I am using the Athena Project flash which has worked well since it was first released. :)
Also, your not using MVRTrueVGA are you? It did not work very well on my X7501 and I paid the $10 for it. Yours seams smaller then the QVGA, but not as small as MVRTrueVGA set’s it…what are you using? If any thing(maybe it’s my eyes)
I am using RealVGA which works great.
I should add I have RealVGA set for 128dpi.

Thank you James! What a waist of money, I paid $10 for MVRTrueVGA, and i got it mixed up with RealVGA the MVR people said 1.5…the version I paid for worked well with the advantage…Real VGA blows it away!
Back when CompUSA was liquidating, I saw the 7501 on sale in their San Francisco Market St store for $400. I spent about 45 minutes agonizing over whether to buy it or not. Ultimately I decided to pass on it.

I have a Windows Mobile 6.1, which displays my weekly schedules and list of contacts. I have been using GooSync to update my mobile device with everything I want online. I have not tried any of its paid features, because the free stocked program works just fine.
