Microsoft’s holiday gift for you- Office 2007 SP1
The season of giving is upon us and the folks at Redmond have plopped a gift for us all in the form of Office 2007 SP1. This SP is a whopping 254 MB of performance enhancements and bug fixes and can be downloaded directly or obtained through Windows Update. I went through the Windows Update route and installed it this morning without a hitch in about 15 minutes. I can say that Word, Excel and PowerPoint all seem faster than before after applying the SP1. I have to admit that I have experienced no problems with Office 2007 prior to installing the SP and look forward to faster performance with it in place.

I’ve deployed it to a handful of test machines and in every instance Outlook and OneNote are MUCH more responsive and stable, and the other apps are generally a bit more responsive.
It seems have broken my Plaxo integration in Outlook 2007.
