I want to uninstall Memeo send as I am not a small business owner I installed it by accident along with another program.I cannot get it to stop running to uninstall it.How do I uninstall this program?

Thanks for the comments about Memeo Send. I wanted to add one final clarification. You asked, who is this service for? The answer is that this service is aimed at small and medium business, as well as designers, who just don’t know how to send large files. It’s also aimed at those who aren’t satisfied with their current provider. We think this is a very simple solution that many companies will love and share with others.

For one off and fast file transfers, I have been extremely satisfied with http://www.jetbytes.com/ for the last few months. Its perhaps not quite as fast, as you need to zip the files together (because you can only send one at a time), but its free and easy.

Good question, Jake. Ultimately, my WHS effort is more of an experiment to see what I can do with it and what functions it can offer me. Without question, I’ll be looking at remote storage features to see how it compares to the services I’m using today. The eventual goal is to see how much a WHS solution can be part of the “personal cloud” solution I’ve envisioned for the past year or so. WHS alone isn’t likely the answer, but when combined with other services, add-ins and software, I think it has a ton of potential.

This is a bit off topic but have you looked into using your Windows Home Server to replace/supplement the web-based file storage services you’re paying for Kevin?

Although I haven’t ever used mine for sharing files with others I do constantly upload files to it from client sites and it saves me having to lug a USB keychain around with me. That’s especially useful because some of my clients (like the site I’m currently working at) block USB ports. Whenever I need access to a file I can just log onto my Home Server and download it.
