Mac Kernel Panic screen-saver; that’s just so wrong
This one smarts on so many levels for me personally, but when I put those feelings aside, I admit it’s quite funny. Doomlaser has created a Mac screensaver that faithfully and harmlessly reproduces the Mac OS X screen I’ve seen more than I care to lately. The fun screen saver replicates what I’ve been calling the "grey veil of death" and simulates a full kernel panic while teaching you to be multi-lingual. At least I feel vindicated by my catch phrase, since TUAW describes it as the "slowly dropping grey shade of despair." Maybe I should have checked my screensaver before DHL picked up my MacBook Pro earlier today? Oh well; too late now. Don’t have a Mac but still want the feel the pain with me? Just hit this YouTube video of the screensaver. :)

Bwahahahahaha… :) Incidentally, I did have a kernel panic a little bit after the beginning of 24 last Monday. Since the iMac is our DVR, that was SUPER annoying. Luckily rebooting was snappy, and we didn’t miss a whole lot.
You have to admit, the gray veil of death looks a whole lot more graceful than the BSOD… :D *ducking*
Reminds me of the old SysInternal’s BSOD screen saver back in the Windows 2000 era
would it be overly malicious of me to install it on our work computers and watch the ensuing panic? I like macs, but not mac zealots :)…but I do like getting paid/working, so maybe I’ll pass.
