For small notebooks, I prefer a small, wired LASER mouse. Wireless mice are suitable for desktops, with bigger screens! With my deteriorating eyesight, it'd be impractical to use my wireless mouse some 10 to 20 feet away from my notebook ;-) Wired mice are cheaper without needing to worry about batteries and typically cheaper and lighter and hence more practical, in my opinion.

Normal optical mouse has problems with white and shiny surfaces, a real irritant for me.

Main problem with wireless mouse is battery life and missing transceiver(dongle). A wireless mouse with an integrated MP3 player is a power nightmare! Figure the power will be completely drained with just an hour of continuous MP3 songs! The 14-15 hours of battery life stated in the specs assume both mouse and MP3 usage. That's because the mouse uses much less power. Can't imagine having to charge my mouse every couple of hours!!

Some may prefer an integrated Fridge-TV. Personally, I prefer a fridge and a separate TV. Incompatiable forced marriages usually don't work very well!

I second that - a mouse that needs a dongle to work is totally impractical. I wish manufacturers would push Bluetooth more.

I think ioGear had it right with their tiny mouse: http://www.iogear.com/product/GME225B/

Bluetooth, so you don't need a dongle, and with a mini-USB port for charging. This Lingo mouse seems like a terrible idea on something like the Viliv S5, or any other device with only one USB port.
