For those of you who would like an X300 with a hard disk, PC Pro writes that in April, Lenovo will be "releasing a new batch of X300s with SATA hard disks inside."

I think the X300 is competitively priced provided you want the SSD. A system with 2GB RAM, DVD-RW, 6 cell battery, 4965 ABGN, Bluetooth, webcam and 64GB SSD is $2,632 with the 20% discount. Lenovo seems more interested in making this a flagship product; they would sell a lot more units by offering a HDD option.

My office is looking at buying two of them to evaluate but it looks like they don't have the WWAN option available yet (or the GPS option for that matter).

This really is a remarkable device. Pricey of course, but not completely unexpected.
