Can anyone with the SF bag tell us – does the bag form over the 6 cell battery or does it leave a space between the bag and the computer? It’s not that important, just wondering.

Caselogic makes several portable DVD player cases that also do the job. I found a “no name” version for $10 at Target that works beautifully.

The SFbag/WaterField bag was great for the MiniNote, like all of their bags I’ve tried so far.

I picked up one from a company you recommended: WaterField Designs. It fits like a glove—I’m loving it.

I agree with Pam. I would worry about heat depending on what happens with the vents on the side and bottom. I went with the sfbag she mentions, and should have it in a couple of days. I had it outfitted with D rings so I can add a strap and put it over my shoulder if needed.

I was a bit worried about this particular case because of the potential for excessive heat buildup. As all you mini-noters are well aware, this little beauty gets a bit warm on the undercarriage.

They do have custom sleeve sizes for both the 3-cell and 6-cell models. As I said, I’m still waiting on mine, so I can’t give it a proper review.

After seeing a few light scuffs on my Mini carrying it in a totebag, I ended up making a slip case out of a couple of suede placemats, some fleece, and lining material. Not sure what to think when we have to resort to crafting our own cases…

I had a portfolio case like this for my Fujitsu P4020 and used it for about a week. But it had elastic straps that clutched the corners and had a habit of sliding off when the notebook was opened. This one wraps around the bottom much better.

Wouldn’t mind hearing how it works in real life.

I had and loved a Mini-Note, until I got mugged. :( That case looks really slick, but I think you’re probably better off making the Mini-Note look LESS nice… the Mini-Note is eye-catching enough on its own!

Given that the Mini gets rather hot, I wonder if putting it in a “leather suit” is the right thing to do?
