Lattes and WiFi or Happy Meals and WiFi: you choose
Working on the go can be darn near impossible without connectivity and WiFi hotpspots can go a long way to help out there. Hey, not everyone wants to pay $60 or more a month for a speedy wireless signal, but of course the problem with WiFi is that you have to find a location that’s covered. Last week saw news on this front as Starbucks announced service for AT&T as well as T-Mobile hotspot customers and Boingo was quick to fire back. They operate a large network of WiFi locations and tacked on another 9,000 by teaming up with Waypoint for service at McDonald’s locations. With the $7.95-a-month plan from Boingo, you’ve now got a place to surf on your handheld while downing a McSomething. Let’s not even talk about which venue has the better coffee… although you do get a toy with the Happy Meal. That should count for something.(via Computerworld)

I don’t think McDonalds gives that feeling of wanting to bring your laptop in.
On the contrary a WIFI available MikyD with cheap good coffee and salads or wraps is much preferrable over a $buck with high priced burned coffee anyday. I am looking forward to it.
OMG McDonalds coffee, hash browns and wifi! Don’t even try to tell me that Star$ beats that.
