@ Patrick
I beleive that youtube HD video is maxed out at 30fps.

Maybe someone else can verify?

Also, I do not shoot alot of video. How would this work in comparison to a $700 HD Video camcorder? I will assume that the video looks better on the more expensive camcorder and would have more options. I am looking for an HD camcorder for taking the occasional video on vacations and such.

Would the more expensive HD Camcorder be worth it compared to one of these?

This is an awesome camera that I got for the holidays. I liked it compared to the alternatives for a lot of reasons: 60fps, HD out via component, upgradable SD RAM, and still capability.

The camera captures MP4 format with a .MOV container and my vids capture around 10-12Mbps.

Kevin, one question I have for you is on fps. Are you using the 720/30 fps or the 720/60 fps? I notice a big difference between 60 and 30 when watching local video off the notebook, but dont see a difference off of YouTube.

Chris, it should work well, as would the one from Creative or the Flip. It definitely works better in bright light settings and when mounted on a tripod.

Our first video using this was the best quality IMO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QBtia8LnDo&eurl=http://jkontherun.com/&fmt=22

I'm looking forward to seeing the output from James's overview of the 2140.
