I chose the Nook Tablet after looking at both. As a newbie to this system I like that I can get in-store help from B&N. So far I love it.

The Kindle Fire is my choice as well, and for the same reasons. Smart move by Amazon.

I was initially leaning towards a Nook Tablet because of the better specs, but after playing with one in the store today I’m having concerns about the build quality. It just didn’t feel very sturdy/solid, which is why I’m now leaning towards the Fire. Better specs are nice, but I can be careless at times and so I need a solid device which is what I’ve heard about the Fire.

B&N is going out of business. They just closed a bunch of stores including the ones close to me? Is that going to effect it?

I went with the nook tablet. because I have the 1st generation nook so I already have a bunch of nook stuff. Also I fight wildland fires in the summer and am rarely in WIFI range. So the extra storage, plus card slot and previously purchased nook content made it an easy choice for me.

maybe….If the Nook tablet has the full android market you could purchase the atbat app and watch games (assuming you have the full mlb.com package too). also the app would have to support the tablet which I might next year who knows. overall, not a for sure like ipad which already does.
