Jury duty – I’m prepared
It’s 7 am and I am sitting in the Jury Assembly room that looks like it can hold about 500 prospective jurors. There are only about 10 of us so far. I am prepared for hours of sitting around with the Fujitsu P1610 and Verizon EVDO AirCard. I brought the Fuji due to its small size and weight and the ability to use it without attracting a lot of attention. Hopefully this day will not be like my last stint of jury duty but if so you’ll be the first to know.
Observation #1: Monitor at front of room explains service criteria: you are disqualified if you cannot read nor write or you don’t understand English. Written in English, of course.

Good luck, James.
Just don’t be like this guy who tried to get himself excused by claiming he’s a racist, homophobic liar. LOL

Hmmm, I am surprised they let you use a “laptop” inside the jury room….
If you can read this: you will need another excuse.
