I am not sure if the file I downloaded earlier was adulterated or if the site I downloaded from used an activex control that I inadvertently let run the adware when I downloaded it previously. If I can find a good install logger, I may retrace my steps and see where I picked it up. It’s rather agressive and sneaky.. I apologize for implicating your program. Given current status, the origin is unclear.

After I run it for a while, I may decide that the “unregistered” popup every so often is worth the $20 to get rid of.

It’s a Nasty little creature, I had to start in Safe Mode and figure out what random file it generated as a preloader and delete it in my System32 folder as well as in the HKLM…/run section of my registry before I could get rid of the ISTSVC.EXE program.

Excellent review. I’ve been a long-time user of this tool as well and it provides an outstanding pen-friendly launcher and information center. This is such an improvement over the standard Quick Launch bar! It’s one of the true shareware bargains out there, IMO, and the fact that you can run the demo version with no time constraints is really quite generous.
