jkOnTheRun Geek Session: More of the U110 and a surprise application
We haven’t had a dual-chat about the Lenovo IdeaPad U110, so today I got a better look at it. James also has an advance look at some software that I’m sure folks will want when it gets released. If you surf the web on a handheld device, you’ll want to check this out.

hmm, someone had a close encounter with a electric razor i suspect ;)
James,
Thanks for slamming/including me in your video :) I have to say you inspired me to try out Opera Mobile 9.5 even more on my upgraded (cough) Advantage. Keep up the great work guys.
I also was quite impressed by that U110 at CES and hope to get my hands on one to play with as well.
Man, you guys are giving me Wayne’s World flashbacks. I veel like it’s 1993 all over again.
What the frik?! Kendrick, what did I tell you about laying off the helium before doing videos?!! You torment me!
… feel. I meant feel.
Sorry.
You two are EVIL!! EEEEEEVIL!!!

I would love to see a comparison with the new Skyfire browser. I’m using Skyfire now and it is INSANELY powerful. I can only hope that Opera 9.5 is just as good to encourage a whole new level of competition.
In fact, the one *negative* that I could put on Skyfire (this is a weird one) is that if I am looking for the mobile version of a webpage (Google for example), I get the full desktop version. But on a 5″ device, Skyfire should be incredible.
The U110 is Lenovo’s answer to Apple’s MacBook Air.
I think it’s a winning recipe – too bad it can’t used to run OSX without hackery :/
I hope to give Skyfire a try on the Advantage. I haven’t downloaded the current version yet.
Doesn’t Skyline use servers to squish and reformat things? Opera doesn’t, right?
And you two — Fiend 1 & Fiend 2! You should be on your way to Guantanamo! Tech terrorists!!
But first, answer all my questions! Let’s get our priorities straight here, after all.
