I’m with Vance. If Data Viz (or SoftMaker) comes through for the iPhone AND the iPhone gets a real keyboard option (preferably Bluetooth) then I would seriously consider the iPhone. I have used my iPod Touch to check and respond to emails once in a while and with my average sized fingers I have a terrible time with the on-screen keyboard. Would never consider trying to compose a document in Touch or iPhone.

If the iPhone ever gets the option of a real keyboard, I might actualy check it out.

Regardless of an “office” platform on the iPhone, who really thinks it’s going to be used for “productivity”. Maybe a quick edit here and there, but I wouldn’t sit down and compose anything of length unless my life depended on it.

We used the DataViz product on our Palms a few years ago. Then we moved to PocketPCs with SoftMaker Office. Wow — what a difference! DataViz couldn’t even touch what SoftMaker could do. Some of the people in the office would like us to move to the iPhone, so we’ll get the new DataViz and check it out. Thanks for the tip!
