iPhone 3.0 Update Breaks eReader Pro- Fix Is on the Way

Broken under iPhone 3.0
This is the last post today about the iPhone 3.0 update, I promise. It is expected with any OS update that some apps will get broken; it’s the nature of things. I am enjoying the new OS on my iPhone 3G, but one of my most used programs is now broken: eReader Pro. The bookshelf part of eReader no longer works after the 3.0 update was applied. The reader portion of eReader works fine; it’s just the bookshelf that no longer works.
The folks at Fictionwise are aware of the problem and submitted a fix to Apple last week. Let’s hope that Apple will get this new version of eReader approved and released quickly. I can’t go a day without my e-book reading.

Thank goodness you can now enter unlock CC into Stanza, otherwise I would have to read my current ereader book REALLY slowly, waiting for the fix so I could easily chose another book to read.
Thank you for posting this! I’ve been using ereader for about the last year. Good thing I’m in the middle of a book right now or I’d probably cry.
Hell, if I’d read this yesterday, I wouldn’t have updated to 3.0 until the fix was out.
Not a great solution, but if you delete the app and reinstall you can choose a new book…..

Too late, I am crying. 3/4 through the book which I can’t get back into. If I knoew about this, I wouldn’t have rushed to update my iPhone as well.
There is a way around the bug in the current version. The bug starts if you hit the home key while reading a book. If you reinstall the app and then make sure you return to the book list before you exit the app and then select the book you want to read every time you start the app then you can keep on accessing your library.
What does “enter unlock CC” into Stanza mean?
Fortunately, I just discovered the prob this morning and found that the update was out!
It’s still irritating that they weren’t on top of this sooner–after all the 3.0 beta has been out for months. I like ereader, but Stanza’s better!
Fictionwise had this update submitted to the Apple App Store prior to the iPhone update being released. You can thank Apple for taking time to “approve” the eReader update.
The “unlock CC” is the credit card number used to unlock the eReader book purchased.
