Check into an app called PDANET. It allows all the fun of tethering without the ugliness of a huge bill. I use it with Sprint and my Q1 running Vista and it works great. A friend uses it with Verizon and his laptop running XP and it also works great.

Actually, it can be done via USB, which is much faster as well. I’ve done that for years; when I said in my post that I didn’t think I could use the radio, I meant for an integrated upgrade to my Q1P. ;)

You can use the data plan with XV-6700, assuming you have Bluetooth on your devices that you want to use. You need to add DUN tethering to your plan.
