I don’t know what planet you lot are on but it’s not the same as mine. We’ve got four lamps in our lounge and none of them have anything remotely similar.

I just tried this and while all my lamps in the house have the right size bolt, the thread count is much higher so I can’t get more than half a turn on without screwing up the threads in the camera.
