Not a bright idea. Also, the advantage for a lot of Pre users (and cell phone users in general) to having a web based app, is that many cell plans offer unlimited browsing. That could mean unlimited skype as long as it’s in browser mode! WiFi or not…

I am certainly looking for a way to chat using Skype on the Pre but I would think that at some point we will see an app and not a web based one. I would like to be able to get notifications when someone sends me a message. Having the web page is a start but not much better than having to stare at the screen of my iPhone when using Skype.
