Once you get it up use the installer to upgrade itself (they install an older version). Install the BSD kit and then install Dock.

Dock uses the bottom, empty, row of your home screen to install a horizontally scrollable application launcher. Very cool!

To see all the apps available, install the optional packages install which enhances the installer app to look at other application repositories. There are many GUI apps available now.
