They couldn’t get any reception from 30 or 15 feet away with a hollow wall inbetween, and even with a strong signal from 6 feet away with no obstruction, speed was nearly 100 times slower than the claimed 480+ Mbps. Fast enough for printing, but not as a makeshift NAS solution or any kind of media sharing. Not to mention the dongle is ginormous.

I feel bad for my friends that come home from a desk job and have to sit a desk again just to chat with their friends while I’m laying on the couch/floor or even in my recliner watching TV.

IF thats possible it think it would be nice to have a usb network card thats hardwired to your network plugged in. It would be alot quicker then using wifi when pulling huge HD videos. Running backups to my NAS would go alot quicker.

With this you have one less cable from the PC to the HUB. This “wireless” hub still needs power so you have to plug it in the wall. Additionally each device you plug in it also coincidally has a cable. The only advantage I can see in this product is if your PC is a far away from the hub, like if you like to have your printer somewhere else than your PC.
