I got booted off Firefox Weave
All the talk yesterday about Google Chrome hasn’t changed the fact that Firefox is my heavy-duty browser of choice. It’s installed on every computer I use and Mozilla’s Weave plugin has helped me leverage those multiple Firefox installs by keeping all my bookmarks synced across the different machines. That ended yesterday as my Firefox installs will no longer log into my Weave account. Weave is a work in progress and it’s had its ups and downs so at first I didn’t get too excited about it going down but I’m now pretty concerned.
Weave is now telling me that it can’t log into my account because my username is no longer valid. It did this once before when Mozilla updated Weave so again I didn’t get too excited. I figured I’d just create a new account and resync my bookmarks from one of the PCs and continue on as I have done in the past. I went to create the new Weave account and got a message telling me that Weave is saturated and is no longer accepting new accounts. This left me high and dry so it’s now time to try Foxmarks since I can’t live without bookmark syncing.

I had the hardest time with Weave. It would just hang or perform really slowly. And I also had to create a new ID after an upgrade.
Agree that Firefox is my browser of choice, but I’ll wait until Weave is more stable and friendly.
*ahem* Opera 9.5 syncs to Operas servers… no outages so far I’m aware of. ;)
James I have been using Foxmarks for a while on four different computers without a hitch. I like it a lot, you I think you will too.
Weave is to prototype as Chrome is to beta. ;)
I am using Foxmarks as well, and it’s damned good for bookmarks.
But I am waiting for Weave to be released to sync my plugins and add-ons, as I can’t bear anymore to reinstall all in firefox each time I am on a new computer.
I’m a fan of FoxMarks. Works like a charm across multiple computers and platforms.
I like Chrome and I´ll keep using treehoo.com (the Google-based site that plants trees) as my default hoempage!
I tried Weave for a while, but now I’m very happy with Foxmarks. In addition to syncing multiple instances of Firefox beautifully, it also has a mobile version so I can get at my bookmarks from my iPhone easily.
I’ll weigh in with support for Foxmarks. Haven’t had a problem in a couple of months of use.

I’ve used the Yahoo Toolbar for years – syncs my bookmarks on the server plus one click access to my email and address book.
