HP’s nc2400 ultra-portable notebook
I still don’t like notebooks with 12.1-inch screens to be dubbed "ultra-portables", but I’ll go with it for now. I guess this means my 17-month old M205 Tablet PC is an ultra-portable too? Anyway, the nc2400 is a nice, svelte package from HP. The base model costs $1,599 and features the following for mobile computing:
- Weight of 2.8 pounds
- 1.2 GHz Intel Core Solo ULV
- 40 GB, 4200 RPM hard drive
- 512 MB of 533 MHz RAM
- DVD/CD-RW drive
- WXGA screen resolution
- Integrated Intel Graphics (GMA 950)
- Dimensions of 8.38 x 11.1 x .976 in.

What is wrong with calling a 12″ screen an ultra-portable notebook? Don’t forget the notebook part and don’t confuse it with Tablet. I know I don’t have to tell you the difference between a tablet and a notebook. It also isn’t a ultra-portable device.
I agree, without the word notebook it isn’t very ultra-portable.
Oh come on hp, do a tablet version of this!
How cool would a 12inch widescreen tablet for under 1.5kg be? They even do one without a dvdrw.
You know it makes sense!
