HP Shipping Update- it’s delayed
The estimated shipping date of the HP 2710p Tablet PC was today but i received an email from HP today saying that the order might be delayed. A quick call to HP confirmed that they are now showing they won’t receive any 2710p’s until 10/3 next week. If that date holds up then my unit will ship a day or two after that.

My suggestion: cancel the order (I did that after two consecutive delays), and buy the one Rob Bushway is selling over at gottabemobile.com. It has the right specs that you are looking for, and he wants $1500. Sounds like a good deal to me. I am still deciding between that and the X61T.
Sounds like HP’s “just in time” supply chain has leveraged all the technology they have available and given you a “just in case” solution.
Mine has been pushed back to an October 8 ship/October 13 delivery, which puts things back to nearly the October 15 estimate I was originally given when the order was placed on September 13.
