HP’s iPAQ 910: great reception and ginormous battery

Ipaq9101Matt Miller has HP’s iPAQ 910 under review and there’s quite a bit to like. First up, he notes better signal reception as compared to some other devices in the same locations:

I had the Samsung Blackjack II, HTC Touch Diamond, T-Mobile Dash, andNokia N95-3 with me over the weekend and out of all five, the iPAQ 910outperformed them all in terms of RF reception.

It’s also nice to see that HP didn’t skimp on the juice: the 910 has a big, honkin’ 1940 mAh battery, which should get most folks through the day, even when using 3G extensively. Matt has an 11-minute overview video covering these points and many others, so if you’re in the market for a 3G / GSM Windows Mobile 6.1 device, this device should definitely be a contender. I’m actually surprised by how well the device responds with the 416 MHz CPU; previously, I though HP should be using a CPU with a faster clock speed, but it looks like their choice will pan out for most folks.
