So who in their right mind is going to work 24 hours without a break? You cannot do that in a work environment. Humans need sleep, rest, food and that six-shot 44oz jolt of hot mud every day.

Design an 8-hour battery for a 17″ gaming laptop. That might win better applause.

Here’s a funny observation – after running their big Days of the Dragon promotion a couple of months ago, HP appears to have pulled this product entirely from their web site. I was shopping for one last week, found a good price, was on the verge of making a purchase today, and when I went back this morning, it was gone!

I seriously doubt it offers 24 hours of juice under “normal” usage. And no mention of how much weight it adds and what the charge time is.

Unfortunately, celebrations at HP’s Notebook Global Business Unit were cut short when it dawned upon them that a 24 hour battery life meant 24 hour workdays…
