HP eBook prototype looks fantastic
This HP prototype eBook device spotted over at MobileRead might be the most impressive standalone reader I’ve seen yet. It looks to me like a thin slate-like tablet that’s around 10 inches wide by 8 inches high; just guesses on my part. The current prototype uses touch strips to navigate through a book and the page flips look incredibly life-like. Ultimately, HP would like to put WiFi and a touchscreen into the device, but we’ll have to watch and see how this shakes out. Hop over to MobileRead for a short video demonstration of the device and see if you’re as impressed as I was. Now about the content and DRM…..

sigh… so what it doesn’t have a tablet function…. it will “definitely” be nice if I can take notes with it. Maybe I’m just little way too greedy…
