Some of them are available now and are just getting lauded at CES for being “the best.”

*sigh*

I swear there have been a couple of CES award-winners that got “Best Of” in Year X, when they actually showed their tech in Year X-1…

I worked in two completely different trades for 25 and 8 years respectively that went through a similar process to CES at showtime. Lots of similarities. Generally, as much fun.

There’s one more aspect that press folks wouldn’t have experienced: For those of us representing one or several firms at the shows, it also was a meat market.

The game – even for those of us loyal to a single major player – was “how many job offers did you get – and from whom?”

It feels great to be courted.
