I recently used a very useful app for doing it without mounting a file system, i just right click a file/folder and backup it to gmail no hassle of mouting a file system its called “Backup To EMail” and can be downloaded from http://emailer.zapto.org

Ken, this is likely due to the limit that Gmail places on how many emails you can send in a given day. I think that number is 500 or so. Since Gspace uses email as the file transport mechansim, you’re probably bumping up against this limit.

I’ve tried this recently, but I am having problems with the number of files you can upload per day before your GMail account is locked out.
Anyone else having this problem?
