Welcome to the mobile tech version of how WalMart killed main street. There are restraint of trade issues here that a class action lawsuit should help address. Apple/Microsoft/Google in bed with carriers is a truly ugly sight to behold.

Well,

We are going to launch our Symbian Application in April which may hit Big Boy’s radar so will be selling with our own website. Other store like Handango etc are option but we are not yet ready to share 40% revenue(that may change however if things doesn’t work well with our own website after launch)

Both of you, developers can sell their apps for WinMo and Android outside the official markets but likely won’t like I said in the article. Both WM and Android are open platforms but the stores are already limiting that as I said.

Why not sell these apps outside android market?

Well, it will be interesting to see the impact that Winmo 7 will have as regards existing apps. At present there is a key difference between the platforms, on winmo you have an open platform where you can install what you want. I wonder if Winmo 7 might look at locking in developers and users into the app store a la Apple.
