Got my Wii on Black Friday! Saw the 400+ at Best Buy and headed over to the mall at 4 am, got in at 5, and waited outside EB Games for 2 more hours until it opened. There were six consoles available and I was third in line.

I also got my gorgeous ThinkPad X41 (I know, I know, a year late) a couple of weeks ago, two new 19″ monitors for my desktop, Bose TriPort headphones, and a couple new 2GB USB drives.

It’s shaping up to be a good season.

All I bought was some wine today. Went to Staples this morning to pick up a GPS on sale for my father-in-law, but I missed it. Thats about all I have patience for on this crazy day.

We actually had to run out to our local Wal-Mart for cold medicine and it wasn’t too bad. The salesperson I spoke with said we came at precisely the right time. It was madness in the morning but by 10:30 when we were there, they looked overstaffed. Sad that the only thing we bought on Black Friday was Advil Cold and Sinus…. :)

Heh. I guess everyone’s still out shopping — or maybe they’ve already dropped. I’m about 4,000 miles away from the nearest sale, so I can only experience it vicariously this year. I look forward to others’ comments.
