Forbes- notebooks in all sizes driving the market
Rachel Rosmarin of Forbes has penned a good article that analyzes what is driving consumers to notebooks over desktops. She points out that portable PC sales grew 33.8% in 2007 and does a good job pointing out that the range of device size and price choices drove those higher sales in large part. The EEE PC has produced a marked affect on sales even though released late in the year and UMPCs are having a positive impact too. The author covers the upcoming Dell XT Tablet PC and mentions the high price which will likely be a negative impact on consumer adoption. It’s a well written article that paints a rosy picture of the portable PC market driven by devices of all different sizes, prices and operating systems.

I’m curious.
Isthat an IBM transnote in the drawing?
Maybe it’s a digimemo next to a convertible?
I believe the image/photo is that of an IBM Transnote! I still have mine in the tech closet – with extra paper. I loved that unit.
