        Seems rather useless without an indicator that tells the user whether it&#039;s an open or protected network, given the plethora of WiFi signals around these days.  I got a freebee WiFi detector at some trade show a while ago and while it&#039;s in my backpack with lots of other gizmos, I have never actually used it for that very reason.
