As a Pre owner I am eagerly waiting for the eReader on WebOS. I have many books that I would like to have in my Pre. I also have several WAITING to be purchased in my eReader wish list. I just hope B&N can get the darn publishing companies to release ALL their books electronically. I have purchased dozens of paper books simply because I can't get them in eReader format. That is the biggest issue in the way of mass adoption that I can see.

I remember buying a few ebooks from BN for my Rocket Ebook almost nine years ago. Their prices were so high. Just as the ebook prices started to come down a bit Gemstar went out of the ebook business and BN stopped selling ebooks. I was so disappointed. I am glad that they have returned to the ebook scene. I was also pleased to see that their ebooks are reasonably priced.
I have always thought that Gemstar abandoned ship too soon. Maybe they will make a comeback. Out of all the ebook devices I have the original Rocket and the REB1200 are still my favorites.

I too love eBooks, and eReader in particular. I find this news... interesting. This is quite the departure from Amazon's walled garden. It definitely makes me happy.
