bluespapa: the original Origami Project spec called for the attributes you mention, but not all UMPCs are Origami "devices". It's poor, confusing naming for sure.

Am I missing something? It's being billed as a UMPC and not a micro-laptop or tiny-notebook? Don't UMPCs have to have touch or digitizing screen and be operable in slate mode?

Either I missed something, or these terms changed when I blinked.

im not surprised. my tx2000 running at 800mhz gives me 29000 and running at 2ghz is close to 70000.

Seeing these results make me want this device even more (September can't come any sooner)

One thing though, the hard drive performance seems to be the only downer in this preview results, I wonder if they did this with the 60/80GB Hard drive or the 12GB SSD?

And for that matter, I hope this device doesn't get too hot during long usage.

Also pray that the keyboard is at least better than the original Eee PC 701
