I just tried Nav4all and it was able to access the GPS with my Mogul and pin pointed my location and drew a few maps and POI’s for me. Upon relaunch it locked up but it may be something to check out while we are waiting for the Sprint/HTC release.

Is it a real GPS chip in there, or triangulating using cell towers? Mogul is a nice device and Sprint’s SERO plans are a bargain… hmm.

GPS and Rev A EVDO are due, as I hear it, toward the end of January. HTC has announced what amounts to a bug fix update before the end of November. It’s supposed to fix bluetooth, which hasn’t worked correctly since day one, and other problems, such as the phone freezing up when moving off of roaming.

Personally, I’ll be happy if I have a stable phone at the end of the month. I don’t think that’s asking too much from an almost $600 phone.
