Even after warranty expiry the help desk will serve you without asking how long you have had the PC. Many of my friends have bought eMachines on my recommendation and also say how happy they are. I actually dropped my wife’s eMachine off the desk once and it survived the three foot drop without damage – and she kept using it for over a year more.
Their desktops are known for their ease of expandbility. I would buy this laptop in a heartbeat if it wasn’t for the fact that I already have 8 other Mid, Nets, Laptops, etc. In fact I might buy it anyway. I bet within a month it will be priced under $400. Pity it’s not a ten incher!
