Surely this was done tongue in cheek and was not intended as an actual serious application to the Jimmy Fallon show (although I’m sure JK and Kevin would be more than happy to appear if they were asked).

It was not a formal letter, it was a post on JKontherun.com (with a link fired through Twitter).

I don’t think professionalism comes into this. Its entertainment. The post on JKontherun.com was written in a fun jokey way for us, the readership. Take it as it was intended!

I agree with what Kevin has said. You two are good, but this letter is inappropriate and unprofessional. Just do what you love doing. Kevin is a the founder of Digg and was formerly on Screensavers and on Tech TV – their rep outdoes yours sadly. You guys have a good site but haven’t pioneered anything in your field like these guys did
