Convert & play DVDs on your Symbian for free today: Crystal2Mobile
I haven’t had the opp to play with a Symbian device yet, so for you S60 and UIQ masters, this might be old hat. Crystal2Mobile is an audio and video converter to bring DVDs and other digital media to you smaller-screened smartphone. It’s the free software today over at Giveaway of the Day, so you know the drill: you have to hit this link to download, install and activate the $30 software TODAY to keep the free license.
Since I’m a n00b to the "Ways of the Symbian", anybody want to share what they’ve been using to convert video for their S60 or UIQ phone? Are there better alternatives? Free is always good, but not always the best.

I have used eright software’s Super, which is free (beer) ware. It is not limited to only Nokia devices, it has a raft of output options. As I write, it is converting a DVD for my Nokia N800 and Samsung Q1.
Patrick,
Can Super directly open (read from) a DVD disc? Or do you first have to rip it to disc? Can it convert copy protected DVDs?
Jelpy,
Super only does transcoding, you would need to first rip the DVD (plenty of free apps on the interweb are avialable, one I use is DVDShrink).
