Concept Extension Cord Ends the Tripping
I’m the first to admit that my office is unruly — a veritable mess of cables that I can’t straighten out no matter what I do. It’s a case of too many gadgets in too small a space, and those cables are everywhere. I have longed for a simple solution to the tangled cord problem, and this concept is the best one I’ve seen yet.

The extension cord is basically a tape that can be placed on the floor where needed. It’s flat, doesn’t get in the way and looks OK, too. I don’t know if this will ever come to market, but if it does I’ll be first in line to buy one.

I think people would buy it. But…
But I bet to get it UL listed they’ll say you can’t run it under carpet (maybe even across itself) and some people will want it for that.
Should do that with network cables, too.
I think it’s dangerous to pass 110/220 volts under the carpet with with such minimal isolation, risk of fire or electricution.
As johnkzin above me said, network cables would be much better choice for them to follow.
I wouldn’t pass either (network or power) under the carpet.
It’d just make it easier to run network cables along the baseboard, cross a hallway, along a ceiling, etc. Esp. putting a staple through the parts that don’t have a conductor, to keep it up against a wall.
It’d be MUCH easier than running cat5 or something in those same environments.
