That is why I avoid the wireless mice (and keyboards) like the plague. I don’t like the weight of them, to begin with, and running out of battery power on such an essential item when out and about is just hideous.

Just picked up a new Logitech NX50 laptop mouse and am using that everywhere, even at home. Great laser precision and I love the tiny, super-light touch of it.

I wonder what would happen if you brought in a UMPC and ran out of batteries in the bluetooth keyboard. Go back home? Or fight it out with the TIP?

For what Starbucks would invariably want for a 4 pack of batteries, I’m sure I’d still walk to the nearest MegaMart for them. Sometimes it’s very small, but there is a difference between a geek and a chump. Buying batteries at Starbucks would be one of those differences.

ahhh, I bought a USB powered 4-slot battery charger. Granted, you have to have some NiMH AAA batteries to carry in the charger – but it does make for an easier time and is eco-friendly.
I understand forgetting to pack some batteries.
