Coffee break – Starbucks for coffee, Bose for juice
I’m sitting in the King of Prussia Starbucks with Mari Silbey at the moment; she writes for both Zatz Not Funny and the Motorola Connected Home 2 Go blog. After this I’ll be heading to the Apple Store for my first iPhone experience. We’ve been chatting for about an hour while working on our respective devices: the Q1P for me and a Dell Latitude D610 notebook for Mari. Well, we didn’t get halfway through our Grandes before Mari’s laptop battery kicked the bucket. I’m still humming along with a good 84% battery level, so there’s definitely something to be said for the small devices. And large coffees. ;)
BTW, we’re ‘borrowing’ some juice from the Bose store right next door. Hope they don’t mind. If they give Mari a hassle, maybe we’ll just tell ‘em we’re interested in some high-end sound equipment. Hey, if they don’t want folks using their juice, I say they shouldn’t have put the outlet so close to the Starbucks! :)

Whats with the Apple logo on the Dell box? Is that a wanna-be?
I pasted the apple sticker on my dell on a complete whim. (we’re a mixed household) I can’t tell you how many conversations it’s started…
Kevin, you’re killing me! I was there yesterday morning from 9-11:30 while my son was attending Apple Camp (podcasting edition). Given the cramped quarters, I’m not surprised that Starbucks doesn’t have a power outlet, and the Bose folks must be used to it at this point as the guy didn’t even flinch when I asked if it was ok to plug in there.
I’ll be there again tomorrow a.m. if you happen to be in the neighborhood!

Dave, I can’t make it tomorrow, but I’m going to ping you offline and we’ll try to set something up for next week! I’m buying the coffee…. :)
