Let me get this straight, I’m supposed to give some strange/unknown iphone app developer (in this case “cardstar”) my personal account numbers with no regard to security? And then only to find out that the barcodes won’t even scan from the iphone? Why not just give them your bank account number while your at it? I suspect this is a clever scheme for the purpose of creating marketing databases. The next stage will probably be pop-up advertisements within the app itself that were paid to “cardstar” by the stores for which you’ve entered numbers. Also (I have no idea – I’m just asking) – do the store and library member barcodes contain information other than a simple number? Shouldn’t we be able to have an app that can create a barcode by simply entering the number without having to involve a third party with your personal information?

From looking at how long these posts go back I think it's a safe bet that it won't be coming out for Blackberry. A decision that leaves me wondering why. Over 80% of the population owns a cell phone, 20%+ of which have Blackberries. They are the 3rd most carried phones. Despite their use and popularity CardStar is going with the new trendy gadget that really isn't has great as consumers had hoped. Eventually they'll come to their senses.

I don’t understand the hold up for blackberry!!! I am so tired of waiting for it! And yes I agree 100% more people have blackberries than androids! Come on cardstar step up to the plate or stop claiming it is coming. I have been checking your site since I think may and still no progress???? I don’t understand

Hey last time I checked more people had Blackberries than Droids. Come on CardStar I’ve been waiting months for this app to come to BB (ever since I saw it on the iphone). Let’s get movin’ on the Blackberry version!

Hmmmm, forgive my skepticism but seeing is believing now regarding seeing this available for the Blackberry. Considering in June, a CardStar rep said “Blackberry is next on our list!” and to expect it withing 2 months. Now that a shiny new toy (Android) had arrived, their focus seems to have shifted. Is this an ADHD thing?

Our focus right now is on Android. So Blackberry has been put on the back burner. Dont worry though, in talks with Verizon now!

We will be on Blackberry as soon as we can. We are shooting to be available on Blackberry within the next month to 2 months. Our focus right now has been working on the newest version for the iPhone which you will see this next week including complete merchant information.

Blackberry is next on our list!

Im curius as to how long another version f9or Windows Mobile, S60 or Blackberry is expected?

Has anyone seen a similar product for other phones out there? I think its a great idea.
