Borders Joins Free Wi-Fi Fray
The online book war is not relegated to the e-book space. Barnes & Noble heated things up by opening up its brick and mortar stores to free Wi-Fi, to attract the coffee shop worker crowd. Not to be outdone, Borders is opening up virtually all of its 500 stores in the U. S. to those seeking free Wi-Fi. Borders’ Wi-Fi will be supplied by Verizon. The two companies already have a business relationship in other areas, and this is an extension of that business.
