You can charge it with the usb or the adapter. It’s the same single plug like the ipod.

Amazon’s Kindle has their own exclusive file type, so it is not compatible with other reader software – my deciding point for purchasing the nook.

I love my nook and have had no problems with it. The battery life is just fine and lasts a long time when in airplane mode. I’ve never had any issues with it yet.

It’s great, you can order directly from your nook or B&N website and it is sent to your nook instantly.

It’s much nicer looking than the Kindle too. I’m so glad someone told me that the nook was coming out because I was going to purchace the Kindle.

I couldn’t be happier with my choice!

Nope, sorry, I don’t think so. Well written article though. Just got my Nook. It crashes when opening any ebook including the ones that came with it. I’m sending it back. I’m not waiting another minute for it as I’ve waited long enough. I’m getting the Kindle instead. The Nook is an overpriced, over sized, paperweight. The user interface is choppy too and the crashing is constant. Forget it. Amazon is a better company anyway.

I was wondering if with Nook you are able to read book from local libarys with e-book libarys. This is a very important deciding facter for me.

B&N told me that you would copy the content over via USB onto the Nook.

I pre-ordered a Nook and was told that it would be shipped on Nov 30. I checked my order status yesterday only to find out that they had changed myship date to Dec 7 without even telling me.

Bad way to start a relationship with your customers.
