I was also trying to get my IDVD to work. It keeps saying that it cannot be used on the present version. I never lost any of the other apps. of I Life with my new installation of Leopard. The rest work . But I reinstalled the Tiger bundle and my IDVD STILL will not work. H E L P!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for posting this. I had the same problem and I didn’t see the garageband icon on the front of the Install Bundled Software only menu, so I was worried it wasn’t there. I’ll be sure to look for the Custom install, as I don’t want it to downgrade Mail and iChat and those things that did come with Leopard. Thanks again.

Hey, I’m having the same problem as Michael Traum. After installing Leopard, I realized my iLife apps were gone, so I followed your advice and put in me Tiger install discs that came with my powerbook and tried installing bundled software and it said I needed to meet system requirements and that it couldn’t do it. Any help?

I had the same problem when I installed leopard so I tried installing the bundled software from disk one and I received a message that it could not be installed and to make sure I met system requirements… what is the deal?

Thank you so much for showing us how to install the Tiger bundled software into Leopard.

In my case, (Power Mac G5 purchased almost 4 years ago), iPhoto is still present after installing Leopard; but double clicking on it makes it flash then immediately exit. Same with iDVD. :-(

Uhh, wait, isn’t iLife half the reason to have Mac OS in the first place?

Mickey, you’ll get the version that originally came with your computer since that’s what is on the disk. I immediately hit Software Update and three of the apps had updates waiting to bring them current.

I noticed the same problem when I did a clean install a few versions ago. Kevin – when you re-installed programs like iPhoto, do you just get the version that came with your computer, or does it get updated at all?
