Where can I buy an Averatec 1100 laptop? Or a comparable laptop with 10.1" display?

the P1500 is not a “take anywhere” ultraportable, get an OQO or Sony UX for that.

these lines of PC’s from Averatec, Sony, Fujitsu are the *smallest* PC’s that make almost no compromises on functionality. all PC’s that fall under this class make many many tradeoff’s. the only reason the P1500 accomplished it’s size is by stripping out a CD/DVD, PCMCIA, touchpad, etc.

i’m not saying it’s a bad thing, it all depends on the users needs, many people dont need the extra functionality. but it’s just ridiculous comparing PC’s in completely different categories.

Averatec had a bad experience with their UL digitizers on their C3500 and they wouldn’t use Wacom because of cost.

My guess is the only inking they would be willing to use right now is touch screen based.

This looks like a really good machine... I think if I want something that I can take /anywhere/ I will go for something more like the VaioUX, mainly because I already have a 13.3'' Macbook.
