AT&T Netbook Now Less Than $80
It won’t be long before we’ll see a carrier-subsidized netbook for free based on the price war that is just beginning. With Verizon and AT&T both beginning to offer subsidized netbooks, it’s not surprising to hear that a netbook from AT&T is just $79.99. Sure you have to sign for a two-year data contract but if you’re going to do that anyway then it may be worth a trip to Radio Shack to pick up your near-free Acer Aspire One netbook.

Why would I want to lock myself into using a barebones machine for the next 2 years? Seriously, is this netbook going to be satisfactory with the kind of hardware that will be out in even 6 months or a year’s time at minimal cost?
