AT&T 3G modems free for now
Those of you who have been fence-sitting on the decision to sign up for the AT&T 3G HSUPA service ($60/month) should know that the former Ma Bell giant has two new modems that can be had for free for a while. The GT Ultra is a PC Card modem for laptops and the GT Ultra Express is the ExpressCard format of the card. AT&T has you covered no matter which slot your lappy has. Both cards are Mac and PC compatible and will be free for a short time (after rebate) beginning tomorrow. It might be time to exit the fence.

This is somewhat unrelated, but does anyone have experience using GPS functionality embedded in a PCMCIA phone card? I’ve been looking at the card for Sprint, but would consider other providers.
